T’wina’s Response to the Washington State Supreme Court Decision

This week a major decision was made by our Supreme Court. I want our community to know that I support car tab relief. I hear and understand that community members need financial relief, especially during the pandemic. Like many in our community, I too am frustrated by the high cost of car tabs and the disproportionate impact on working families like mine. Pierce County voters want to make investments in our transportation system, but for too long those costs have fallen on those who can least afford them. 

To get what our community is asking for, we need new leaders in Olympia who will roll up their sleeves and work together to deliver solutions. As a former educator, a University Place School Board Director, and the President of a nonprofit, I know how to do just that.
